Designers: Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber. Form doesnt just follow function with Embody. Function is on full display. This ergonomic office chairs highly technical structures—such as the spine-like Backfit, with its visible H-flexors—show how it bends to encourage seated movement. Embody is purposeful design that creates harmony between your mind and body, and between your body and work.
Is the back high enough to serve as a head rest?
I need to have a head rest and would like to know if this is an option.
The simple answer to your question is "no" the Embody does not have a headrest option. Our High Performance Seating - Embody, Aeron, Mirra, and Sayl - support the spine at the sacrum (via PostureFit) and thoracic. By doing this, we stabilize the lumbar and cervical (neck). When you are sitting in the chairs correctly, your spine and neck are aligned and a headrest is unneeded.

Aeron Chair

Aeron Chair-Standard Tilt vs. Tilt Limiter
The standard tilt description states that it allows the chair to recline. How far does the chair recline? And by contrast, if one were to get the Tilt Limiter option, how restrictive is the tilt?
The back will recline from 86 degrees (4 degrees forward of perpendicular to the floor) back to 116 degrees. This gives the back a potential 30 degree range of movement.
The tilt limiter allows you to limit how far the chair goes back within the same range as the standard tilt. It provides the user more control over the stopping of the tilt at various degrees within the full range.

Eames Molded Plastic Armchair Rocker Base
Designers: Charles and Ray Eames. A classic piece of mid-century furniture. The first mass-produced plastic chair. And as stylish today as it was when it was designed in 1948. A multitude of color choices can be combined with a base in chrome or black and rockers in maple or walnut.
What is the difference between "wafer" and "white"?
its hard to tell in photos, what exactly is the difference in these two colors? Is wafer more off-white? or is it silver-ish? Are there any photos of the two side by side? hard to tell based on renderings...
You're right...it is hard to tell in the photos the difference between "wafer" and "white" and we are in the process of updating our imagery to better reflect the colors. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
"Wafer" can be described as a light tan. This finish is a matte finish.

Great idea! You could work with a local glass retailer to customize your stool and convert it to a table with a glass top.

Ability to change lumbar support after purchase
Is it possible to switch to Posturefit Lumbar support in the future after buying a chair now with the Adjustable Lumbar support? I am still unsure which lumbar support to get and therefore would like to have the option to switch them up in the future. Is every chair equipped with the tension knob used to adjust Posturefit? Thanks.
It is possible to switch to our PostureFit lumbar Support after purchasing a chair with the Adjustable Lumbar support.
The type of back support is closely linked to the activities you do while seated. Since Aeron has a choice of either Lumbar or PostureFit sacral support, it is important to know how you move in your chair. If you recline, your head carries forward, rounding out the natural S shape of the spine. You can see that in the center graphic below. The Lumbar support will help guide the spine back into proper alignment while reclining. If you lean forward into your technology you can benefit from sacral support, or the region of the lower back that connects with the pelvis. Posturefit targets the sacral region and works like a hand to gently keep the pelvis supported and tilted forward.
So, Lumbar if you recline, and PostureFit if you lean forward into your technology.

Casters-If you're using a plastic chair mat over very low-pile carpet, should I order the casters for hardwood floors?
Our carpet casters are intended to be used in combination with your low-pile carpet for optimal performance and mobility. The casters were designed for use with carpet, therefore, chair mats are not recommended with our seating products.

Lyra Stool, Set of 4
Designers: Design Group Italia. Created by the Milan firm Design Group Italia, the Lyra Stool owes a lot to the way Charles Eames used bent wood. You can see the Eames influence in the graceful molding of the wooden seat. The frame is strong but delicate-looking steel tubing in chrome. The stool comes in high or medium heights. Sold in sets of 4.
